Some 3,600 Liberians living in the U.S. may be forced return to their country next month. The Liberians came to the U.S. under a special immigration category known as Temporary Protected Status. TPS was first granted in 1991, as Liberia descended into a decade of brutal conflict.

"Closing The Digital Divide, One Child At A Time"

As you know the knowledge of computers and technology is no longer optional. Regardless of your career choice, you must be computer literate to be successful. Our main goal at The Cyber Camp is to provide the necessary computer training our youth need to be leaders in this new millennium.

The Cyber Camp was founded in 1998, in Brooklyn, NY and has grown to include locations in Jacksonville, Fl and Greensboro, NC. We are now developing a special program in Ghana. We will service students from ages 4 and up. Our pilot program in Ghana will be on the Buduburam Camp and also in Okponglo.

We offer a robust curriculum that covers knowledge of hardware, software, and the Internet. Each age group has a different set of goals to accomplish. All students will be encouraged to strive for excellence and to display their own personal creativity at all times. Every week there is a new skill to be mastered, both individual and using partners. Student work will be displayed for the review. Because of the importance of typing when using the Internet and other programs, all students are required to practice typing 15 minutes a day.

We will focus on using computers as a tool for academic reinforcement. Special computer programs will teach reading, writing, and math. There will be special computer games to enhance the memory and build critical thinking skills.

Please check back soon for a complete schedule of classes, workshops, and ongoing programs. Please feel free to email us if you have any questions.
