Buduburam is a refugee camp located in Kasoa, 44 kilometers, which is approximately about miles west of greater Accra region the capital city of Ghana. It was opened by the UNHCR in 1990 as a result of war in Liberia. The camp serves as a home-base to more than 13,000refugees from Liberia through the various boarders shared by Liberia and Ghana.

Many of the 15 million refugees in the world today live in crowded camps or struggle to survive in dense urban environments. Assisted by CWS, a fortunate few are given a new future in the United States. If you would like to meet and help refugees resettling to your area, write to us.
